BIKINI, Berlin   //   Expansion of office units on floors 2–6

Completed in 1957 and located opposite the Gedächtniskirche, the “Zentrum am Zoo” complex is a symbol of Berlin's City West skyline. The listed area includes the Bikinihaus opposite the Gedächtniskirche, the large high-rise building on Hardenbergplatz, the Zoo Palast cinema, the small high-rise building (25hours Hotel) and a parking garage. The centerpiece of the building complex is the historic Bikinihaus, with a total length of 200 meters. The third to sixth floors of the Bikinihaus house exclusive office space covering approximately 7,500 square meters – DIA179 was commissioned by the general contractor Bilfinger to plan the interior design for approximately 5,500 square meters of this space.
